What kind of education is ideal for a retail buyer?

I am a Business Administration student and I wanted to specialize in Marketing but realized I don't like it and don't have the knack to be salesman. I would kill myself if i ended up being a telemarketer. So I figure instead of selling I could buy. Would a degree specializing in Business Management be a good option for me?
